  • ECLA on the campus of El Camino College is an intensive English program, not a program for grades. If a student has successfully completed the Language Academy, he or she can transfer to El Camino College.

    The ECLA curriculum was developed to allow students to study in the United States. Students take TOEFL preparation classes four hours a week to meet their TOEFL score of 45 (iBT) to enter El Camino College. Students who successfully pass the highest level of language school can enter El Camino College regardless of their TOEFL scores.

Course Information

  • El Camino College's ESL program, which has a history of teaching students from about 100 countries, boasts a 25-year tradition. This course is recommended for students who want to enter universities in the U.S. or office workers who want to obtain professional certificates that require English. Many instructors have overseas experience or are fluent in two languages. Students who apply for the program must have a TOEFL score of more than 450 points, and those who do not have a TOEFL score can listen to the ESL program after earning 450 points from the El Camino Language Academy. Many students take A.A. or A.S. courses after completing the ESL program.

  • Southern California has a lot of things to see and do!
    El Camino College is located in Torrance, California. The school is located near Manhattan Beach, Redondo Beach, and Hermosa Beach. The climate is mild and the average rainfall is about 38 centimeters per year.

    Los Angeles has a variety of activities that can satisfy everyone, such as famous attractions (Beverly Hills, Hollywood), international venues/rest areas, art galleries, science museums, cultural centers, and sports facilities (bicycle paths, surfing, skiing). There are also many shops and shopping areas where you can shop.

    The amusement park in Southern California is the best in the world. Disneyland, Universal Studios, and Court's Berry Farm are all an hour's drive away. Six Flags Magic Mountain, Wild Animal Park, and Sea World also take an hour to two hours to drive. It may be hard to believe that all of this is around, but there are Arrowhead Lake and Big Bear mountain resorts.
